Dungeons & Drogans: Session XXXIV

Session XXXIV Summary

A small impish hovers behind the zombie horde. It casts a spells on the Drogans as they battle the zombies.

A female tiefling emerges from behind the zombies, then makes a subtle gesture before there is an eruption of flames that leaves five of the ten remaining zombies charred husks that crumble to the ground.

A ghoulish figure scrambles forward from the darkness and attacks the tiefling. With ferocious claws, it tears into her flesh and bloodies her.

The Drogans, Win'tyr, and Sorrow kill the zombies and ghoul, but in the chaos of battle, the imp fled. According to the tiefling, it went to warn Kalarel. The tiefling says she goes by the name Sorrow and reveals that she works for Kalarel, but after witnessing his gross incompetence, decided to join the winning team.

Sorrow reveals to Win'tyr that she knew Ninaran, that his cousin was brainwashed to work for Kalarel, and that the Drogans killed her.

The Drogans, Wint'yr, and Sorrow prepare to confront Kalarel on the lower levels.

Session XXXIV - Part 1 Summary

Rekoj counts 6 zombies that he can see, then exits the room and closes the door. The goliath and Coltaine then simultaneously kick the doors open, bashing two zombies back a couple feet, and revealing a whole horde of zombies.

Win'tyr opens fire with his bow, taking down a zombie.

Coltaine cleaves a zombie's skull in twain.

A small impish figure is visible, hovering behind the zombie horde. The imp casts a spell on Coltaine, wounding and dazing the man.

Zombies advance and strike Coltaine and Rekoj, leaving Coltaine at 20/35 HP.

Rekoj summons plants to provide cover for his allies.

Win'tyr kills another zombie with a headshot.

The imp wounds and dazes Autumn.

A female tiefling emerges from behind the zombies.

Session XXXIV - Part 2 Summary

Win'tyr fells another zombie.

The imp casts his spell on Autumn, giving her an ice cream headache, then a zombie bashes her down to 11/34 HP.

A zombie hammers Rekoj in the head, dropping him to 28/52 HP.

Round 5 begins.

The tiefling makes a subtle gesture before there is an eruption of flames that leaves five of the ten remaining zombies charred husks that crumble to the ground.

A zombie shambles over and strikes the tiefling.

Rekoj chops into a zombie with tremendous force. It explodes, sending rotting flesh and bone debris all over the place. Especially on Autumn.

The imp casts his dazing spell on the tiefling.

A ghoulish figure scrambles forward from the East with malicious intelligence in its eyes and attacks the tiefling. With ferocious claws, it tears into her flesh for 7 damage and immobilizes her. The tiefling is bloodied.

Round 5 ends.

Autumn calls upon her second wind, healing to 19/34 HP.

A zombie punches Rekoj, dislocating his jaw, then a second punches him down to 12/52 HP.

The tiefling summons a flaming sphere and burns a zombie to a crisp.

Rekoj fells two zombies.

Coltaine chops the last zombie in half, leaving only the ghoul and the tiefling. The imp is nowhere to be seen... Then, he inspires Rekoj to heal.

The ghoul retreats into the shadows.

Round 8 begins.

Coltaine says, "Well met, tiefling. Thank you for your assistance in that battle. Shall we pursue those creatures?"

"The imp is Kalarel's servant; he probably went to warn him," says the tiefling. "I know not where the ghoul went."

Session XXXIV - Part 3 Summary

The Drogans proceed into the corpse-filled room, and Autumn is clawed from the darkness down to 13/34 HP.

Round 9 begins.

Rekoj sheds light on the ghoul.

Round 10 begins.

Rekoj chops into the ghoul, bloodying it.

The ghoul claws Rekoj down to 20/52 HP.

Round 11 begins.

Coltaine decapitates the ghoul, then introduces himself to the tiefling as Rekoj goes about stomping all the corpses into paste.

Win'tyr asks where the imp went--despite the fact that the tiefling already said it went to warn its master. The tiefling repeats herself and says she goes by the name Sorrow. She reveals that she works for Kalarel, but after witnessing his gross incompetence, decided to join the winning team.

Sorrow reveals to Win'tyr that she knew Ninaran, that his cousin was brainwashed to work for Kalarel, and that the Drogans killed her.
