Dungeons & Drogans: Session XXVII
Session XXVII Summary
Coltaine and Autumn tie up the four unconscious hobgoblins.
Once everyone awakes, Coltaine questions the hobgoblins. One cries out for the Warchief, so Rekoj chops off the hobgoblin's foot and shoves it down his throat.
Rekoj then questions the hobgoblins, but they refuse to cooperate and are brutally executed by the heroic Drogans.
The Drogans head to the temple in Winterhaven, where Sister Linora tends to Rekoj's broken leg.
Zook fetches the blacksmith, who explodes into criticisms of Rekoj's hide armor when he sees the state the goliath is in. Rekoj prays for the sweet release of death.
The Drogans return to the Shadowfell Keep.
Win'tyr tells everyone to keep their eyes open for his cousin, Ninaran. Coltaine says they killed a she-elf named Ninaran in a graveyard once. Luckily, they left the body unceremoniously sprawled out where they killed her, so they can go identigy the corpse after it's gone through some more decomposition.
Win'tyr, in obvious denial, refuses to believe the elf the Drogans killed was his cousin.
As the heroes descend the steps to the second level, they find many bloodstains on the floor, but no bodies.
Win'tyr draws his bow and, 28 arrows later, shoots the caged, defenseless spider to death.
The Drogans explore, finding bedchambers, crates, barrels, supplies, rations, beer, tables, chairs...
...until Zook hears footsteps shuffling towards them and sees a group of hobgoblins. Pushing through the phalanx of grunts is a particularly large hobgoblin with a steel eye patch bolted to his skull. He clutches a bloodstained shield with many notches carved into the haft, and his heavy shield is sheathed in flayed skin.
The Warchief calls to his brethren, "Don't kill 'em, we can sell 'em to the Bloodreavers as slaves."
The session ends.

Coltaine and Autumn drag their unconscious allies into a separate room to let them recover, then tie up the four unconscious hobgoblins.
Session XXVII - Part 2 Summary
Everyone awakes--including the bound hobgoblins.
Rekoj chops up the bodies of the dead hobgoblins and dumps the pieces down the well.
Coltaine questions the hobgoblins. One cries out for the War Chief at the top of his lungs, so Rekoj chops off the hobgoblin's foot and shoves it down his throat, choking it to death.
Rekoj questions the remaining hobgoblins, but they refuse to cooperate and are brutally executed by the heroic Drogans.
Session XXVII - Part 3 Summary
The Drogans valiantly flee after viciously murdering the helpless hobgoblins.
En route back to Winterhaven, Coltaine introduces Win'tyr to the rest of the party. "I hope you guys were worth those four poor humans dying," says the elf.
Lord Padraig greets the Drogans at the gates of Winterhaven. Coltaine delivers the bad news about the Regulars.
Session XXVII - Part 4 Summary
The Drogans head to the temple, where Sister Linora tends to Rekoj's leg.
Zook fetches the blacksmith so that he could visit Rekoj at the temple.
The blacksmith explodes into criticisms of Rekoj's hide armor. Rekoj puts his hands in his ears, buries his face in his pillow, and hopes he dies.
The blacksmith rants for several minutes, foaming at the mouth. Sister Linora escorts him out of the temple, but he can still be heard shouting as he returns to his smithy.
The Drogans return to the Shadowfell Keep.
Win'tyr tells everyone to keep their eyes open for a she-elf. Coltaine says they killed a she-elf in a graveyard once.
Win'tyr asks, "Was her name Ninaran?"
"Why, I think that was her," replies Coltaine. "We killed an evil she-elf named Ninaran."
Win'tyr asks if she had a ring on her finger, but the Drogans don't remember. Luckily, they left the body unceremoniously sprawled out where they killed her, so they can go check on the corpse after it's gone through some more decomposition.
Session XXVII - Part 5 Summary
Win'tyr, in obvious denial, refuses to believe the elf the Drogans killed was his cousin, believing she is still in the keep.
As the heroes descend the steps to the second level, they find many bloodstains on the floor, but no bodies.
Win'tyr draws his bow and, 28 arrows later, shoots the caged, defenseless spider to death. Zook refuses to play any part in this--shocking everyone.
The Drogans head east into another chamber with a well and numerous exits.
Session XXVII - Part 6 Summary
The Drogans explore, finding bedchambers, crates, barrels, supplies, rations, beer, tables, chairs...
Rekoj wanders off on his own and finds a massive oaken table with scraps of parchment on it. Crude plans depict an attack on Winterhaven involving 20 hobgoblins and several hundred undead.
Zook hears footsteps shuffling in from the south. He moves to investigate.
Session XXVII - Part 7 Summary
Zook sees a group of hobgoblins filing into the southern corridor in phalanx formation. Pushing through the phalanx of grunts is a particularly large hobgoblin with a steel eye patch bolted to his skull over his left eye. He clutches a bloodstained shield with many notches carved into the haft, and his heavy shield is sheathed in flayed skin.
The Warchief calls to his brethren, "Don't kill 'em, we can sell 'em to the Bloodreavers as slaves."
The session ends.
