Dungeons & Drogans: Session XVIII
Session XVIII Summary
The Drogans loot the various corpses--the goblins and Zacsarrd's--and find some coins and a holy symbol of Bahamut. Rekoj takes the dragonborn's scythe, Coltaine dons his dwarven armor, and the religious trinket is left behind.
The Drogans decide that there's no urgency in burying their fallen comrade and go search for Balgron. Coltaine ties a sunrod to his halberd to light their way.
There's no sign of Balgron, but the Drogan's find a rat-filled grotto and a staircase leading down to zombies. They decide to deal with the rats first.
Session XVIII - Part 1 Summary
The Drogans loot the corpses and find a couple dozen gold coins and a holy symbol of Bahamut. They grab the loot and leave the religious trinket.
Session XVIII - Part 2 Summary
Coltaine introduces Zook to Splug as Zooksarrd, assuring him that the similar name is just a coincidence.
The Drogans find Zacsarrd's body on a torture table, his gear in a pile beneath it. Having already looted his brother, they proceed to loot the cleric.
Session XVIII - Part 3 Summary
The party divides Zacsarrd's loot. Rekoj takes his scythe, while Coltaine dons his dwarven armor.
Session XVIII - Part 4 Summary
The Drogans decide that there's no urgency in burying their fallen comrade and go search for Balgron. They return to the goblin's bedchamber and open the secret door. Coltaine ties a sunrod to his halberd to light their way.
Session XVIII - Part 5 Summary
The Drogans return to the excavated room where Zacsarrd died, but Balgron is nowhere in sight.
They spot a hole in the dungeon wall, leading down into a grotto, with steps carved from the rock, and decide to return after investigating the rest of the level.
The Drogans eventually find a pair of closed double doors, which Rekoj opens to reveal discolored stairs leading down into cold darkness. An overpowering odor of damp rot fills the air. The party heads down.
Session XVIII - Part 6 Summary
The Drogans reach the bottom of the staircase, and find themselves in an area with multiple corridors. Coltaine's light shines upon a room in which a number of corpses stand idly. The Drogans decide to double back to the grotto, where the finely worked stairs and flagstones of the dungeon give way to a large natural cavern. Large rats dart in and out of shadows.
The session ends with the players deciding to venture into the grotto.
