Dungeons & Drogans: Session VII

Session VII Summary

After looting the kobold lair, the Drogans find suit of armour for Zacsarrd and a message scroll on Irontooth's corpse, signed by "Kalarel." The message mentions a spy in Winterhaven and forebodes death for the townspeople in the name of Lord Orcus.

The party returns to Winterhaven, learns that Ninaran has disappeared, and reports back to Lord Padraig.

Zacsarrd starts a rumour that gets Jacques kicked out of the inn--and kicked in the head by his horse.

Session VII - Part 1 Summary

Experience points are allotted for last session's battle, and a delightful discussion regarding the D&D origins of the word "woot" ensues.

Session VII - Part 2 Summary

After the Drogans loot the corpses, they find a message scroll addressed to Irontooth and signed by someone named Kalarel. Written in common, the message speaks of a spy in Winterhaven and mentions that in a few more days, a rift will be fully opened, and Winterhaven's people will serve as food for those Lord Orcus sends to do his bidding.

Within a chest, the party finds a few hundred gold coins and a magic dwarven suit of chainmail armor--just what the doctor ordered for our dear Zacsarrd.

Session VII - Part 3 Summary

The Drogans head back to Winterhaven and visit Wrafton's Inn, where they notice Ninaran's absence. John believes she is the spy spoken of in the scroll.

Session VII - Part 4 Summary

Zacsarrd tells Salvana Wrafton that he has urgent news for the mayor, and she asks what could be so urgent. The dragonborn whispers to her that their wizardly companion, Jacques, is a pedophile and a danger to the town.

Outraged, Salvana kicks poor, confused Jacques out of her inn. As the rest of the party goes to sleep on comfortable beds, Jacques is reduced to sleeping in the stable with his horse. But as the old man approaches Redenbacher, the horse bucks its hind legs and kicks Jacques in the face, knockng him out.

Come morning, Zacsarrd informs Lord Padraig that the deed is done.

Session VII - Part 5 Summary

The Drogans show Padraig the scroll from Kalarel. The Lord Mayor thanks them, promises to pay them their reward soon, and says he'll consider how to deal with the information from the scroll.

John expresses remorse for what he did to Jacques.
