It was a shame two players were missing for this session, but if we had put it off any longer some YouTube listeners would have sent me letter bombs. It's actually great to see listeners are as eager to find out what happens next as we are.

We glossed over killing the imp -- there was no need to have everyone roll dice for another half hour. The imp wouldn't have been able to take them out, so why waste everyone's time?

My objective for this session was to truly conclude the adventure -- not just to give the players their XP and loot, but to tie up loose ends and give them -- and the listeners -- a satisfying ending.

One such loose end was the fact that we were down to "Dungeon & Drogan" -- Coltaine was the only one left. I roleplayed Coltaine in the beginning because I needed to ensure that his recruiting efforts worked.

Dave and I thought Rhekd turning out to be the blacksmith's cousin would be a nice twist for everyone. He said he would do the accent, but that didn't really pan out.

The dwarven blacksmith definitely needed a moment in this finale -- he's a fan favorite. I hope I did him justice. Oh, and here's a teaser: he'll play an integral role in the next adventure.

Rekoj was a fan favorite as well, and I think we gave him the best send-off we could. That twist ending? I'm hoping at least one listener cheers to that.

But that wasn't the only big surprise. Before that, I tied up a loose end from long, long ago... Jacques. We all try to forget about Jacques -- and the first few sessions in general -- but it was time to revisit him and end his "story arc."

Here's to hoping the ending brought you all satisfaction.
